Spotify and Ford Partner to Enhance Musical Experiences for FordPass

FordPass members will be able to enjoy new entertainment experiences by streaming leader Spotify.

Ford and Spotify are teaming up to create a new entertainment experience for FordPass members. The deal is part of Spotify’s transformation into an auto and mobility company.

The FordPass platform will re-imagine the link between automaker and consumer. According to Ford they aim to revolutionize the experience. Elena Ford is the Ford vice president at global dealer and consumer experience.

According to Elena Ford, the FordPass platform is about understanding the needs of the people. Then for Ford it’s about developing great experiences and ways to make them even better.

“The FordPass platform is about understanding people’s needs and developing great experiences and ways to help them move better,” said Elena Ford. “The combination of FordPass and Spotify will create a great music experience both inside and outside of the vehicle.”

FordPass and Spotify will come together to create a great music experience. The experience will be applicable to both inside and outside of the vehicle.

According to Ford, people spend 900 hours annually on moving around and on entertainment. Ford wants to tap into the number of hours people spend on the move.

FordPass will provide the entertainment options the consumers’ desire. Spotify has also announced partnerships with other companies. Some of the partners are from the news, sports, children’s programming, and audiobooks industries.

According to Spotify they want to light up the FordPass experience with the aid of music. Spotify also wants to be present everywhere fans listen to music and Ford has given them the opportunity.

“Our goal is to light up the FordPass experience with music,” said Jorge Espinel, Spotify vice president for business development. “We want to be everywhere fans listen to music, and this partnership deepens our relationship with Ford and FordPass members.”

This is the second time Ford and Spotify have joined hands. Previously the Spotify app interacted with the Ford SYNC AppLink.
