  • Drake’s New Single “Controlla” leaked Online

Two songs from Drake’s upcoming album leaked online and have already gone viral.

Drake has been known to create albums and songs on a whim where he threw in a surprise album in the mix last year and gave some chart topping songs including his viral hit “Hotline Bling” in which he also cracked out some pretty unique moves. He has been participating on concerts with Rihanna to sing her latest hit “Work”.

Meanwhile he was also working on his own album, Views from the 6 which his reps says is exploring into new sounds from all around the world and pushing the boundaries to do something more unique and different.

If you thought that Hotline Bling was different, then you’re in for a treat with Views from the 6 sound and the collaborations. It is what you expect from Drake and his music.

Well what Drake might not have been expecting was producer Hudson Mohawke threatened to leak his new music online for unfair payment. Well we don’t know whether the producer kept true to his threat or not but two tracks from the album have been leaked online titled “These Days” and “Controlla”.

Both the songs have gone viral with people around the world streaming the songs. “These Days” is a collaborative track with Tumblr rap collective Barf Troop’s Babeo Baggins while Controlla features Jamaican dancehall artist Popcaan.

It is a downtempo Caribbean jam in which Drake has used very subtle amount of Auto-Tune as he sings for a girl that continues to play games, almost controlling him hence the title.

Although the leaked track doesn’t sound like the final version as the tempo goes up and down a lot in the whole song and we can expect a more refined version of the song on the album. The track has gained a lot of chatter for its Afro-sound and its subtle piano tune.

Services like Spotify and YouTube have already taken down the song on privacy violation and the fans will have to turn to the stores to buy the new album View from the 6 which is set to release later in April.
