Amazon No Longer Sells Non Spec-Compliant USB Type-C Cables

Amazon is a big name in online retailing world. It has just updated the list of its “prohibited listings”.

The list reveals that the portal will no longer sell USB Type-C cables. However, the only USB Type-C cables which don’t comply with the standard specifications are disappearing from Amazon.

Amazon on its website stated that; “Any USB-C™ (or USB Type-C™) cable or adapter product that is not compliant with standard specifications issued by "USB Implementers Forum Inc."

The new update and the prohibited listing were spotted by Google's Benson Leung. He has been working and examining the USB Type-C cables for quite some time now.

Benson Leung is the same person who reported, last year, that OnePlus’ USB Type-C accessories were not standard and out of specifications.
