Letterman is ready to helm Dungeons and Dragons film under the banner of Warner Bros. The anticipated film is an adaptation of a popular classic game called Dungeons and Dragons

Warner Bros. is currently developing plans for a Dungeons & Dragons film based on the popular fantasy game. It was first published in 1974 and was originally designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson.

The Tracking Board revealed that Goosebumps director Rob Letterman has been selected to direct the film. Goosebumps earned $150 million worldwide against a $58 million budget last year.

It was based on the children’s horror books written by R.L. Stine. Warner Bros. had its eyes set on Rob Letterman for the upcoming film Dungeons and Dragons as he proved himself to be a capable director who could score hits at the box office even under intense pressure.

The film is being made by several producers including Stephen Davis and Brian Goldner of Hasbro. Courtney Solomon of Sweetpea Entertainment and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment are also lined up in the producers’ team.

The executive producer for Vertigo Entertainment will be John Middleton while Allan Zeman will be the executive producer for Sweetpea Entertainment.

David Leslie Johnson will write the film’s script. He is best known for his work on Wrath of the Titans and Orphan. In addition to this, Letterman will also co-write the film’s script.

Little is known about the movie’s plot. According to the sources, the action-adventure story of Dungeons and Dragons focuses on a warrior and his mystical creatures. The story revolves around a dangerous journey to find a mythical treasure.

Warner Bros. has not made any casting announcements. Some sources believe that Warner Bros. and Rob Letterman are after a “Vin Diesel-type” lead character for the movie.

It’s not yet known if they might pursue a Vin Diesel type of star but producers might ask him to play a role. Vin Diesel himself is a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons and he might accept the role if it is offered.
