The most controversial topic about the Model 3 is the lake of dashboard controls. Elon Musk has now revealed that we did not see yet the final Model 3 cockpit.

The Model 3 shown at the unveiling last week is not finished. The most drastic feature of the Model 3 was the lack of dashboard controls. Now Elon Musk revealed on Twitter on Sunday that the Model 3 cockpit is not final yet. There will be steering controls and system for the Model 3. Musk says that it feels like a spaceship.

Elon Musk should have mentioned in the presentation of the Model 3 that the dashboard and steering is not final. A lot has been talked about the missing dashboard controls.

Even the exterior design is not completely final. Musk said in response to request of a Twitter user to give the Model 3 a better front design that tweaking is underway.

In the impromptu AMA on Twitter, Elon Musk also confirmed that the Model 3 base model is rear wheel drive only. A dual motor AWD version of the Model 3 will be available for fans of the performance the Tesla Model S is known for.

It is now clear that the announced part 2 of the Model 3 unveiling will bring changes and new details that have not yet been shown. Over 276,000 people around the world reserved a Model 3. A third of them has reserved the car unseen.
