Tiny Wireless Camera Raises over $110,000 on Kickstarter

The WiCAM is a tiny wireless camera that can be mounted anywhere.

The WiCam is a small completely wireless video camera. The camera is powered by batteries and has been design from the ground up to use less power than conventional cameras.

The applications of the WiCam are basically limitless. You can use it as security camera for your home or as action camera on your bike. It also works as a dashboard camera in your car. WiCam is made with makers in mind. Open source SDKs allow makers to integrate WiCam into a Drone, a Robot, and many more.

Features of the WiCam include a 2MP CMOS camera, 1600x1200 pixels JPEG image, Video Format: motion JPEG, 640x480, 7fps, 120 degree wide angle lens,802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz Wi-fi, Bluetooth Low Energy 4, I2S audio interface, temperature sensor and 1,000mAh battery. The WiCam comes with a variety of mounts.

The WiCam has been backed by over 950 people who raised $113,000. This almost triple the funding goal and there are still 11 days to go. A WiCam starts at about $59.
