Jeff Bezos' space company Blue Origin has released a video of its recent mission.

Blue Origin has released a Hollywood quality video of its latest test flight of the New Shepard rocket. Especially the landing reminds me of countless scenes of space adventure movies.

The New Shepard had a 3rd successful mission on April 2, 2016 reaching an apogee of 339,178 feet or 103 kilometers. Blue Origin pushed the envelope on this flight, restarting the engine for the propulsive landing only 3,600 feet above the ground, requiring the BE-3 engine to start fast and ramp to high thrust fast. Watch the video of the mission below.

In 2018, Jeff Bezos's space venture will undertake the first manned test flights. The latest test flight is another step towards low cost space flights. Blue Origins works on the BE-4 rocket that is aimed at ending the dependency of the United States on Russian rockets by 2019.
