The head of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk wants to send unmanned Red Dragon sparecraft to Mars.

Elon Musk is a genius. He has invested so much in his brainchild, SpaceX. Recently, he divulged the fact that he wanted to send unmanned spacecraft to the Red Planet. What better spacecraft to send to Mars than the Red Dragon modules.

Elon Musk is known for being a very brave and bold man. Yet these statements seem even more braver and bolder than the routine phrases he has in his linguistic repertoire.

The Red Dragon spacecraft will be sent to Mars aboard the Falcon Heavy which is a much more powerful rocket than the Falcon 9. Since mankind’s plight on earth is never-ending, Mars has to be kept as an alternative world to conquer and colonize.

Were an asteroid to hit the Earth, Mars would have to be the extra planet that could be turned to in case of an emergency. The United States is the only country in the world that has managed to send a rover to Mars. No other country can even come close to that goal. Yet the next step is to send astronauts to the Red Planet.

However, that is a long way off. It is only by the time 2030 rolls in that such a scheme of things would even remotely be possible. The distance is too much and the climate of Mars is not very suitable for human beings to spend their time in.

We still have a long way to go before we can actually colonize Mars. However, this is a good start. As for Elon Musk, he has big plans. The man is dynamite. He wants to be able to send payloads into space. Among the places he has plans to send these payloads is the Red Planet.

The thrust of the Falcon Heavy rocket will be very great. It is equivalent to the propulsion power of many tens of thousands of jetliners. SpaceX managed the impossible when it landed its reusable rockets in an upright manner on a pad at sea recently.

This was a precarious situation that took a lot of care and handling with kid gloves. It just goes to show you that if we set up barriers and limits to our reach, we will never be able to overcome our difficulties. Yet if we think that the sky is the limit, then there is no force on earth that can stop us.
