The Bitcoin creator mystery appeared to have finally been solved. On Monday, in a well orchestrated media release, Australian Dr. Craig Wright revealed himself as Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto. The BBC, The Economist and GQ magazine led the PR stunt as they got early access to Craig Wright's story under NDA.

The reporters said they verified the proof that Dr. Craig Wright presented and confirmed that he is indeed Satoshi Nakamoto. Now reports of several experts say it is a scam and Mr. Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto. I knew something was wrong as Craig Wright comes across to suave in the BBC interview. This is not a geek. I believe you have to be a total mega geek to come up with this Bitcoin thing.

Nik Cubrilovic details the evidence against Craig Wright in this blog post and Dan Kiminsky details why he believes the evidence shown is not conclusive.

In contrast to these reports, Bitcoin Foundation current chief scientist Gavin Andresen believes that Craig Wright is Satoshi according to Wired.

The Bitcoin creator mystery discussion continues, but I don't care. I never cared. I am still puzzled that Bitcoin has become a mainstream currency that can be used to by coffee. Just why?
