Beyonce’s Givenchy gown did not garner the enthusiastic response that it could have.

This year, at the Met Gala, many were betting that Beyonce will hit the home run in the outfit department like Rihanna did last year. Beyonce was the favourite to ‘slay’ at the red carpet and she might have chosen the dress well but it did not work.

Beyonce wore a Givenchy nude latex gown complete with white embellishments. Designed by Riccardo Tisci, the dress might have worked with the whole Manus x Machina theme with its shiny texture and the sprawled beadwork showing her curvy feature to the fullest. She went with a straight hair do, nude lip color and smoky eyes. Her dress was carried by her long-time stylist Ty Hunter.

As soon as Beyonce appeared on the red carpet and the cameras got a glimpse of her to post on social media, people went after the dress ruthlessly referencing to it as everything from being a condom to rough endoplasmic reticulum to the skin of the elusive Becky with bad hair in her latest song. Having stunned on the Met Gala Red Carpet, Beyonce might want to reconsider her style options for next year.
