New Apple Patent as Apple Pencil 2 with touch sensors

On Tuesday a new Apple patent was granted whose hardware closely resembled that of the Apple pencil that is available for use with the iPad Pro. What is different is that there are also extra sensors and changeable nibs which make it more powerful than its previous variant.

IAccording to uspto, it is under the name of Intelligent Stylus with U.S. Patent No 9,329,703 dated 2011 wile the looks are also somewhat similar to the Pencil. The interchangeable nibs use pressure sensitivity and data for the Pencil’s orientation which it does itself to change the size, angle etc of the brush strokes that it makes. They change automatically for drawing as well as writing.

The nibs have distinct codes that make the stylus recognize so it knows which one is to be used at what time and also change the characteristics at the same time.

Besides the nibs, there are also sensors that help it to know the position and orientation while also providing security through the provided Touch ID fingerprint sensor. This should however have been passed for the iPad Pro as it is done now through Bluetooth.

It is noteworthy here that this Apple Pencil has just been in the market a few months back when the 9.7 inch iPad Pro was launched and the new variant is already in for the making. However there are no speculations for the next iPad Pro to come anytime soon.
