The new Bluetooth bulb from Sony is a speaker and a LED bulb fitting in a light fixture.

Sony announced the new LSPX-103E26 LED Bulb Speaker in Japan. The Bluetooth smart lamp has stereo speakers and 192 colors, fitting into a standard light fixture. LED Bulb speakers are a great space saving gadget. Sony introduced the first model last year. The LSPX-103E26 is smaller in size, brighter light and features improved sound quality compared to the LSPX-100E26J.

Sony also added the capability to use two bulb speakers to provide a spacial sound experience. Via the companion app, users can assign which stereo channel is assigned to a bulb.

Via the app, the Sony LSPX-103E26 also can be used as alarm clock. A sleep timer and a incoming smartphone call notification are also available. Sony has made this LED Bulb Speaker into quite the nifty gadget. I am tempted to want to own one.

The Sony LSPX-103E26 LED Bulb Speaker will go on sale in Japan on May 21. Sony has not disclosed the price yet. Watch the video below to see the Sony LSPX-103E26 LED Bulb Speaker in action.
