Jack Black will act along The Rock in the Jumanji reboot.

Jack Black had been under consideration by the officials of Jumanji for a role in the movie. He was in constant talks with Johnson and the production house of the movie about a particular role since the past few weeks.

Dwayne Johnson however conformed this news via an Instagram post. He posted a picture of himself with a copy of Jumanji along with Jack Black. He captioned the picture with the words that it was official that Jack Black was going to work with him in Jumanji.

He also revealed in his post that Kevin Hart will be acting in the movie. He said that the “Jumanji Breakfast Club” is coming together.

Dwayne posted that he had been a fan of Jack Black’s work since eons. He also said that he knows that Jack’s acting skills will make his role really cool and fun to watch. Jack’s role was not revealed and Dwayne posted that his role will be revealed after some time.

He also added that a role for a “badass girl” and another guy is also to be finalized. This movie will be directed by Jake Kasdan, while it will be produced by Matt Tolmach. Jumanji is the remake of Sony’s 1995 iconic and successful movie “Jumanji”. This movie was adapted from Chris Van Allsburg’s children’s book.

The original movie and book contained three major roles. However Dwayne revealed in a post a few days back that this new movie will contain five main roles. This means that the audience will see a number of talented actors on screen. Recently Dwayne also paid tribute to Robin Williams who had the lead role in 1995’s Jumanji.

Jumanji will be released on July 28, 2017.
