Lupita Nyong’o in Talks to Play Lead in Black Panther

Lupita Nyong’o will be seen in a character in “Black Panther”.

Black Panther is written and directed by Ryan Coogler who also wrote “Creed”. Ryan is taking his time in order to put the comic into a beautiful script.

Lupita Nyong’o won an Oscar two years earlier for her role in “12 Years a Slave”. She is in negotiations these days with Marvel Studios for a role in Black Panther, according to THR. She will be acting opposite Chadwick Boseman.

Sources told THR that "she will play the love interest of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa, the eponymous hero and ruler of the fictional African nation of Wakanda."

Black Panther and Boseman were portrayed in “Captain America: Civil War” this year. This movie crossed the $700 million mark on a worldwide level which is a big success for a Marvel movie. After that it was anticipated that fans will see a Black Panther movie in action. Well this is going to happen soon.

Lupita Nyong’o’s character has not been revealed by the movie officials. There are many characters having an African origin in the original comic that can be portrayed by Nyong’o. She can be seen playing the character of T’Challa, who is one of the warrior kings of Wakanda.

Wakanda is a fictional African nation in Marvel’s universe. This nation is rich in an unbreakable alloy Vibranium. She can also play the role of “Storm” who was also portrayed as the love of interest of Black Panther in various comics.

She will be playing the role of Panther’s love interest which is a surety. She appeared recently as Maz Kanata in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. She also did a voiceover for the wolf Raksha in “The Jungle Book”. She will be seen in the sci-fi drama by DreamWorks that goes by the name of “Intelligent Life”.

She is represented by CAA, Del Shaw and D2 Management.

Black Panther will be released on February 2, 2018. Its production will start in the first few months of the year 2017.
