Google announced today at the Google I/O 2016 the Daydream VR platform.

I am blown away by the creativity of Google's marketing department. Google announced today at the Google I/O 2016 the Android N based virtual reality platform called Daydream. It is not called Android VR as rumored. Daydream is an incredible perfect name for virtual reality. Google Daydream sounds has the touch of something romantic and emotional.

Daydream works on top of the new Android N and is suppose to offer high quality mobile VR experience. Together with Android manufacturers, Google is working on upcoming phones, and sharing designs with them for a VR viewer and controller that will be really immersive, comfortable and intuitive to use.

Your favorite apps and games will be coming to Daydream too, including Google's like YouTube, Street View, Play Movies, Google Photos and the Play Store. Google did not reveal more and points to this fall for more details. So we have to continue to day dream on our own until Fall.
