On June 9th Lenovo will unveil new products, possibly including a new RAZR, but is that a reason to get excited?

Lenovo released a RAZR commercial from the 2004 as a teaser for the Jun 9th Lenovo Tech World 2016. The original Motorola RAZR V3 flip phone was a huge success, selling about 130 million. Motorola was never able to recreate the success it had with flip phones in the touchscreen smartphone era that followed.

Motorola has tried using the RAZR brand on touchscreen phones in 2009, but that did not help. This is why I am not excited about Lenovo unveiling a RAZR branding phone. It does not mean that Lenovo will resurrect the flip phone as some people believe. There is a vibe that consumers would want again a flip phone, but it is not clear if that is substantial demand or just nostalgia.

The Lenovo Tech World 2016 is according to the company bigger and bolder than ever. Lenovo teases the Lenovo Tango, the word's first Google Project Tango enabled smartphone and a Moto transform in a snap, referring likely to the leaked modular Moto Z with MotoMods.
