Mercedes is going to bring 4 new saloon EVs by the year 2020.

A recent announcement made by Mercedes’s R&D Boss, Thomas Weber, confirmed that the company will be releasing 4 new cars. These cars will be EVs and will be available in market by the end of year 2020, Autocar reported.

Out of these cars, it is expected that fans will see two electric saloons and two SUVs. All four of them will contain high tech electric modules in order to make them the finest EVs in line up to come.

The German Government recently announced a subsidy on all electric vehicles. The relaxation will be provided on the cars that have a price less than 60,000 Euros. This decision will effect and help in introducing 1.2 million electric cars in Europe. This led to this decision of new EVs by Mercedes.

These cars will share their basic features with its siblings of the Mercedes label. The basic feature will include the hard points like that of windscreen and roof structure. Along with that these will have special designs which will instantly let others known about their zero emission characteristics.

These four cars will have direct competition with Tesla motors that are supposed to release in the coming years too. These cars will feature many new elements in order to compete with Tesla Motors.

All four of these will also compete with the traditional rivals of BMW and Audi. The cars will belong to S and C class Sedans. On the other hand GLA and GLC will be offered as sports utility vehicles.
