Tim Cooks slowly makes his way back home from his big India trip. Today he is the capitol of the Netherlands.

Weed is not a big reason anymore to visit Amsterdam. The legalization is making big strides in the United States. Amsterdam came up with Startup Fest Europe as an alternative to weed. Apple CEO Tim Cook will be speaker at this giant startup event.

He will be part of the opening event tomorrow, May 24. Startup Fest Europe has an impressive speaker line up. Besides Cook, the list include big names like Nathan Blecharczyk (Airbnb), Eric Schmidt (Alphabet), Travis Kalanick (Uber), Gillian Tans (

The Opening event of Startup Fest Europe will be streamed live here starting 11am CET.

Startup Fest Europe is a nation wide festival of more than 25 independently organized events in the Netherlands that helps startups grow faster by bringing together founders, investors, business leaders and developers around specific themes (or verticals).

The purpose of Startup Fest is for entrepreneurs to make deals with investors, establish partnerships with corporates and attract the right talent. From 24-28 May 2016 The Netherlands will be the place where every startup in the world wants to be.

Today Tim Cook shared a photo from a meeting with Assistive Ware in Amsterdam. "Their apps improve lives by giving people a voice," Cook said. Tim Cook also visited the Anne Frank House today.

Before Amsterdam, Tim Cook stopped in Dubai to visit the first Apple Store. Cook spent several days in India before stopping in Europe.
