Samsung to Exhibit Ultra High Definition OLED for VR and 3D Holograms at SID 2016

Samsung will have a whole series of different OLED displays at the SID 2016.

Samsung will show off its OLED innovations at the SID 2016 this week in San Francisco. Like LG, Samsung is focusing on OLED at the Society for Information Display conference. 

Samsung will unveil a prototype of the 5.5-inch OLED display  with UHD (3840x2160, 806ppi) resolution for VR. The display offers 2.3 times higher number of pixels than current VR displays.

Samsung will also show off a new hologram display technology. The technology based on a transparent and a reflective display make 3D images appear in mid air.

Besides the above two display technologies, Samsung will exhibit again rollable and flexible OLED displays and new OLED TV displays.  

The 2016 Society for Information Display (SID) conference takes place at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco from May 22 to 27.
