The week of June 13 will be extremely busy for geeks. The Apple WWDC 2016 conference and the E3 2016 take place. On Monday, June 13 the WWDC 2016 keynote and the Microsoft E3 2016 media event are taking place at the same time.

Microsoft's E3 2016 event begins at 9:30am PDT and 30 minutes later at 10am PDT Apple CEO Tim Cook will take the stage at the WWDC 2016 to unveil the new Apple operating system versions and maybe new hardware.

Microsoft is maybe unveiling a new Xbox, codename Scorpio, for virtual reality at the E3 event. The Xbox Scorpio is reportedly supporting the Oculus Rift and that Microsoft is pursuing a partnership with Oculus. This announcement would be huge and many geeks will stay tuned in at the Microsoft E3 2016 live stream and not switch to Apple's media event. Microsoft's E3 event will of course also be packed with new Xbox One game announcements.

Apple's focus at the WWDC 2016 are the upcoming new releases of OS X(macOS), watchOS, tvOS and iOS. It is not clear yet if Apple will actually show off any new hardware. The current rumors about new products are not attached to the WWDC 2016. A new MacBook Pro with OLED touchpad is in the rumor mill as well as a 5K Apple Display with GPU. Both are supposed to come somewhen this year.

We will be covering both events and report about the highlights. Find details about how to watch the Microsoft E3 2016 event. The WWDC 2016 keynote will be streamed live again on the Apple site.
