Kobe Bryant Endorses Ghostbusters with a Cameo

Kobe Bryant makes his own appearance in the iconic Ghostbusters uniform with a special nametag and a proton pack.

Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters NBA style. That’s right folks! While Kobe might have played his last match for the LA Lakers, he’s not done. The twenty years long career has made Kobe an iconic star. It was time that he joined something more iconic.

That’s why Kobe has featured in the new NBA Final promo of Ghostbusters. The promo for the movie’s reboot has Kobe featuring as Mamba. Mamba is Kobe’s nickname on the court.

A few behind the scenes footage for the promo was shown by Players' Tribune, of which he is an investor. The footage includes Kobe sitting in an office in a sleek black suit in front of a black mamba snake painting. He is talking into a headset.

The next shot is of Kobe standing in a lab with a lot of equipment holding the Ghostbusters’ beige and orange suit. In the next shot he is fully dressed in the suit and carrying a proton tank. The shot focuses on his badge to reveal the name Mamba.

In the actual promo, we see the Lakers player talking to one ghost who tells them that the court is haunted. It is haunted by the ghosts of the greats and not so great. We see the slime monster in full action. The players ask what they’re gonna do and we hear a voice, “Suit up!”

A bag is dropped and they suit up in the full gear of the Ghostbusters, the suit, the boots and the proton tanks. They capture the slime monster and say that they are not afraid of no ghosts.

The screen then shows, meanwhile in Western conference. Kobe is sitting in his office talking on a Bluetooth when his secretary comes in. We see a phone with a red light on. He answers the call. He tells her that this is it, they nod at each other. Kobe exits the room the door of which says Kobe Inc.

We see him suit up and go at the top of the building where we can see ghosts floating around. He says whoa and goes to helicopter with the Ghostbusters logo. The helicopter flies to a green explosion and we see the movie release date of July 15th. The storm is originating from the Lakers arena and he says that this place was never boring.

That’s right Kobe. So be sure to catch Kobe on the premiere of the movie.
