  • Nearly Every Food and Drink Endorsed by Music Stars is Unhealthy

The latest evidence is just in on the matter. According to the experts, nearly every food and drink promoted by musicians, who also happen to be stars, is a fraud and unhealthy to boot.

Sometimes what seems like a star-endorsed product turns out to be a dud. Many artists in the field of music have spoken out in commercials about certain food items and drinks as good for health.

Yet the fact of the matter is that these comestibles and beverages are totally unhealthy down to the last crumb and drop respectively.

The problem is that many youngsters take to these celebrity-endorsed eatables and liquid thirst-quenchers with avidity. A study into the matter found that most of the products were downright unhealthy.

Such endorsements shown in commercials had led to the state of the nation as being one where most of the teens and children were obese. Such eatables as soda, sugary drinks, junk food and fast food as well as sweets such as candies were being touted to be good for health. Such is simply not the case in reality.

Not a single musical star ever endorsed fruits, vegetables and whole grains. The only exception was pistachios which were given the thumbs up by one lone star.

This study was a rigorous one. It measured the nutritional status of many of the products touted by musical geniuses. The results were disappointing. Many ads over more than a dozen years showed this trend to be true.

The companies happen to employ the services of these musicians and singers to give their fraudulent products a status they would otherwise not be able to achieve in the eyes of the gullible masses.

The advertisement of food is responsible for stimulating appetites everywhere. Also the food industry spends $1.8 billion on ads catering to youngsters each year.

The study went on an in-depth basis into the Billboard Hot 100 songs whose stars later on endorsed eatables and non-alcoholic beverages. All sorts of fake foods and nutrient-poor products were included among the stuff that was given the thumbs up signal by these larger-than-life stars.

These included soft drinks with sugar added in the contents. The expanding girths of youth and adolescents due to over-consumption of the drinks and junk food is a bad sign for future times.

Celebs ought to be role models for the young and restless. They should not approve of such Frankenstein foods which the human body was not designed for in the first place.

This descriptive study publishes today in the journal Pediatrics.
