Dark Blue iPhone 7 Imagined by Martin Hajek

Designer Martin Hajek picked up the rumor about the new iPhone color and released beautiful renders of a dark blue iPhone 7 and dark blue iPhone 7 Pro.

Last week a rumor about a new iPhone color surfaced. Apple is supposed to replace space grey with a dark blue color option in the iPhone 7 line-up. The dark blue is an attractive color, but Apple is unlikely replacing my favorite iPhone color. Space Grey is the next best choice in absence of black for Geeks. Apple would not dare to remove space grey.

Dark Blue could be though a nice addition. Designer Martin Hajek, famous since years for his iPhone renders, picked up on the dark blue rumor and released beautiful renders of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pro based on the leaked CADs.

The renders show the new design of the camera lens in clear detail. The solution to mold the protruding lens area from the case material makes it less of a problem. I said this before, a flush surface is more appealing, but the iPhone 7 looks definitely much cleaner than the iPhone 6S.

The iPhone 7 Pro is shown with the dual camera lens and the smart connector. It is still not clear what the smart connector will be used for on the new iPhone.

Apple is expected to reveal the new iPhone 7 on September 13. Today on June 13, Apple will kick off the WWDC 2016. At 10am PDT Apple CEO Tim Cook will take the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco to deliver the WWDC 2016 keynote.

The WWDC 2016 will be all about software and services and not about new hardware. Apple fans have to wait another 3 months for the official reveal of the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch 2.
