I think it’s time we stop getting surprised over the sort of experiences technology is willing to provide us with. One such example is the ConferenceBike which is a seven seater bicycle. You can now conduct meetings literally on the go as all the riders of the bike face each other, forming a circle.

The bike dubbed as CoBi is a result of an art project undertaken by Eric Staller back in 1991. The art piece originally called Octos was so popular that Staller decided to take advantage and come up with a commercial version. Basically 6 people pedal and a 7th steers.

If you go to Staller’s blog you can read about how he ended up with the final product . “I then built a 2D model with seven seats and called it the ConferenceBike. Several prototypes later I have the foolproof and built-to-last model of the ConferenceBike that it is today”, he said.

The target market for this ConferenceBike are big companies or towns which is reaffirmed by the staggering price tag of $12,750. Currently you can see these bikes being used for their unique service at Google, Crique du Soleil in addition to some schools and transportation for the blind.

The bike can carry a combined weight of 700 kg (1500 lb.) and weighs a hefty 200kg (440 lb.) itself. It measures in at 2.5x1.8x1.4 m and can go as fast as 15 km per hour.
