The hyper funded and super secretive Magic Leap company announced today a deal with Lucasfilm. Watch the demo below.

Magic Leap signed deal with Lucasfilm's ILMxLAB to bring Star Wars characters into your room. Watch the incredible demo video below show footage shot through Magic Leap technology.

C-3PO and R2-D2 appear in reality in stunning quality. It looks better than Microsoft's HoloLens. The demo still does not reveal anything material about the Magic Leap technology. The VR startup has raised over a $1 billion in funding. Their technology must be "magic."

Magic Leap founder Rony Abovitz announced the partnership with ILMxLab today at WIRED Business Conference in New York City.

“The collaboration with Magic Leap is exactly the kind of relationship we want to foster—inspirational, cutting-edge, and innovative,” Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said in an email to WIRED. “With the world-class storytelling and tech talent in our joint lab, the promise of compelling mixed reality entertainment is one step closer.”

Magic Leap did not reveal when we will finally see what they are up to and how their virtual reality experience works. If it gets the blessing of Lucasfilm it is certainly something.
