The most mysterious video game debuting at the E3 2016 is hands down Death Stranding by legendary game creator Hideo Kojima.

Hideo Kojima shared details and photos of making his new mysterious game Death Stranding. The new Sony PS4 title is starring Norman Reedus, from Walking Dead.

At the E3 2016 Hideo Kojima released a the weirdest trailer imaginable. A naked Reedus wakes up at a beach full with dead sea animals and a baby.

If you have not seen this out there trailer of the Metal Gear Solid creator, watch below.

In the past hours secretive Hideo Kojima has revealed some details on Twitter. He decided on a Performance capture studio in San Diego at the end of January after touring 20 studios.

Hideo asked Norman Reedus in February to appear in Death Stranding. The pair worked together before in the canceled game Silent Hills.

A series of photos show how Norman Reedus gets 3D scanned. Kojima explains the process of 3D scanning and performance capture:

"3D scanning is to capture actor's head, face, hands, legs, and body. Performance Capture (P-cap) is to shoot the actor's movements, facial expression and voice at the same time. It means the actor will be in the game's character in 3D atmosphere and we are able to trace his act."

Hideo Kojima's team worked two and a half month on the 3D data they received to get it to a suitable level.

The process of 3D scanning at the highest level looks extremely complicated. The contraptions that surround Reedus in the photos look extremely complex. The result is though incredible. The digital Norman Reedus in the trailer is extremely close to the real Reedus. Where will this lead?

It is difficult to get a grip on how far Hideo Kojima and his team have developed Death Stranding. He did not share any information on when Death Stranding is going to be released.
