Sony FDR-X3000R 4K Action Camera and FDR-X3000R Video Watch Unveiled

Sony released a new version of its action video camera.

Sony has unveiled the Sony FDR-X3000R 4K Action Camera and FDR-X3000R Video Watch in Japan. The FDR-X3000R follows the FDR-X1000V unveiled last year.

The Sony FDR-X3000R features improved image stabilization. The water proof 4K action camera can be remote controlled via the FDR-X1000V watch. The watch can display the video that the camera is recording. 

Other features of the FDR-X3000R include Zeiss lens, BIONZ X sensor and Wi-fi.

Sony will release the Sony FDR-X3000R on June 24 in Japan. A price has not been revealed yet.

The form factor of the Sony FDR-X3000R 4K action video camera is similar to the recently launched Olympus TG-Tracker.
