Since it was announced that Supergirl would be a television show, Lynda Carter has been a dream to participate in the show. Well, last March the show's creator, Greg Berlanti, revealed that they were indeed trying to get the iconic Wonder Woman on the show. The CW and Warner Bros. confirmed that Carter would be on the show, but not in a role that people predicted - she will be playing the President of the United States.

She will appear in multiple episodes this season, at least the first and third of the show's second season, according to Coming Soon.

Lynda Carter is best-known for her role as Wonder Woman, but she is much more than that. She's an accomplished singer who has performed rave-reviewed and sold out shows at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and Lincoln Center in New York City. She has also used that voice talent in various video games, including Fallout 4.

Carter is set to appear in multiple episodes and will first appear in the third episode of the show’s second season.

Melissa Benoist plays the titular roles on Supergirl alongside Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater.

The show will start its second season on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 8/7c p.m. on The CW.
