First Captain Underpants Poster Has Fans Excited

DreamWorks will release an animated feature film based on the popular Captain Underpants children books in 2017. The first posts has been spotted.

Dav Pilkey's children's novel Captain Underpants will hit the big screen in 2017. DreamWorks assembled a celebrity voice cast for the animated feature film based on the adventures of two fourth graders, George Beard and Harold Hutchins, living in Piqua, Ohio.

Captain Underpants comes alive from one of the boys' homemade comic books. The Captain Underpants series includes 14 books and 3 spin-offs and has sold over 50 million copies in the United States since 1997.

Redditors are very excited about the prospect of the animated version of Capitan Underpants. The first Captain Underwear Poster gives the first impression of how Captain Underpants will look like in the movie. The poster has been spotted by ComingSoon at the Licensing Expo 2016 in Las Vegas.

The Captain Underpants 2017 movie will star Kevin Hart as the voice of George Beard and Thomas Middletich as the voice of Harold Hutchins. Ed Helms lends his voice to Captain Underpants. Other members of the Captain Underpants cast include Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele and Kelly Osbourne.

Captain Underpants is slated to be released in theaters on June 2nd, 2017.
