A lot has happened since then. The iPhone has emerged as the biggest growth driver for Apple and their most important product.

The iPhone entered the market when most smartphones had a keypad. Simple features as rotating screen has impressed the people back then.

Apple is rumored to plan a big iPhone release in 2017 to mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. The 10th anniversary iPhone will be complete redesign using glass and for the first time OLED display technology.
