Game of Thrones producers have confirmed that they will be looking forward to two more shorter seasons to finish the show.

Many Game of Thrones fans will tell you that the season six premise generally led all our favourite characters to their ultimate destinies. While Jon Snow came back to life and conquered the North, Daenerys is on her rightful path to Westeros, Stark girls are resolute and Cersei is on the Iron Throne.

Did I miss anything? Other than the burning of the High Sparrow and Ramsay Bolton’s most anticipated death, we have season six of the show covered. Now as we await the season seven for ten long months, the producers of the show have made some heart wrenching revelations.

It has been revealed that in season six, the show finally caught up to its sources material from George R.R. Martin’s books, Song of Ice and Fire. We know that from here on the show creators will be telling the story that is not known to viewers and readers. So co-creators David Benioff, 45, and D.B. Weiss, 45 have made some confessions in an interview just the next day of the finale of season six.

One of the most shocking perhaps is that the show only has two seasons left, according to BBC. What is more is that these seasons will be shorter than previous seasons. Until now, since its premiere in 2011, the show’s seasons have had 10 episodes each. Benioff and Weiss revealed that they planned on making about 75 hours of the show, 60 of which have been completed.

They are estimating the total hours at 73 now. They said that the reason behind this was to complete the show while people were interested. Not make it a show that people will be relieved to have off-air. Strike while the iron is hot and selling is their motto. They want to go down in a blaze of glory when all their characters will meet their ends, whether good or bad.
