NBA star Kevin Durant announced on July 4 that he goes to Golden State Warriors.

Kevin Durant signs with The Golden State Warriors. The news is shaking NBA fans and make Warriors the number one trending term on Twitter on July 4, pushing Independence Day and Happy 4th of July aside.

Durant is leaving Oklahoma City Thunder for the Warriors. He took to The Players Tribune to explain his decision. He says that this has been by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life.

"I understood cognitively that I was facing a crossroads in my evolution as a player and as a man, and that it came with exceptionally difficult choices. What I didn’t truly understand, however, was the range of emotions I would feel during this process," he leads into his explanation.

"I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the great."

27-year-old Kevin Durant is originally from Washington. He says that Oklahoma has raised him. He acknowledges that many fans will be very disappointed. "It really pains me to know that I will disappoint so many people with this choice, but I believe I am doing what I feel is the right thing at this point in my life and my playing career."

You can try to cry in front of his house like the fans of Messi to change his mind. Good Luck!
