Samsung Releases Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Games Edition

Samsung is ready to take advantage of any marketing opportunity that it gets so it’s no surprise that it launched a Galaxy S7 Olympic Games Edition. The phone is going to have the same internal features as a normal Galaxy S7 Edge but the handset is going to have a whole new Olympic color scheme.

Other than this, the home screen, lock screen, message, dial and contact screens as well as the notification bar have been given a makeover so they all coordinate with the Olympic color palate. The phone is pretty exclusive, other than being made available to the Olympic Games participants there are only 2016 Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Games Edition handsets available for the general public.

You will be able to get your hands on the phone from July in select countries such as Brazil, Korea, China, US and Germany. Samsung might include other countries to the race but these are the one that it has announced as of yet. A statement given by Samsung read as “In collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Samsung will deliver 12,500 Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition and Gear IconX to all Rio 2016 Olympians, helping them to enhance their experiences in Rio and communicate with family and friends around the world more conveniently.”

If buying revamped edition of an already available phone is up your alley then we definitely recommend this but Samsung hasn’t announced how much the phone will cost so you might want to wait for the number before getting too excited about the prospective purchase.
