Walmart offers Free Shipping on All Online Orders This Week to Fight Prime Day 2016
Free Shipping on Walmart

Walmart just ignited a big bomb. The retailer is offering free shipping with no minimum purchase on all online orders for five days starting today, July 11.

Walmart has already sharpened its knifes in anticipation of Amazon's Prime Day 2016 earlier this month with the introduction of the 30-day free trial of ShippingPass, its unlimited 2-day shipping program, which costs $49 per year. Today, Walmart revealed another weapon to fight Amazon for online sales.

Walmart is offering free shipping with no minimum purchase on all online orders for five days starting today, July 11. You do not need to be a member of ShippingPass. It's free shipping for everyone.

The retailer has already launched last week big sales on their online store including rollbacks on consumer electronics. These sales are getting bigger this week.

Today's deals include a $279 Xbox One Bundle and a $149 iPhone 5S Prepaid, $179 14-inch Asus Laptop and $369.99 55-inch RCA LED 120Hz HDTV. All consumer electronics deals are listed on this page.

We expect that Walmart will launch its best deals on Tuesday, July 12, to directly compete with the Amazon Prime Day 2016. Walmart's marketing is all about that deals are available to all and that buyers do not need a membership. Walmart also stresses the point that they have deeper stock on deals.

Walmart can though only succeed in effectively messing with Amazon, if they also offer some of the extreme discounted deals. Amazon has not yet revealed the Amazon Prime Day 2016 deals, but we expect extreme low priced TVs, video game consoles and more.

Amazon will have much more inventory during the second anual Amazon Prime Day. The main criticism last year was how hard it was to score deals as inventories have been too limited.

We will keep monitoring Walmart and Amazon this week to report about the best deals. Also do not forget about about Best Buy and Target. We already spotted Best Buy matching an Amazon Prime Day Countdown deal.
