The Pokemon Go game has fooled its first player into a dangerous situation. His car hit a tree while he was busy playing the game.

A driver crashed his car into a tree while playing the game Pokemon Go. The Auburn Police Department issued a few advisory guidelines for drivers of vehicles to be more careful and pay attention to the task at hand.

Pokemon Go is a game that has augmented reality as a fundamental part of its makeup. It is played on a smartphone and the players have to catch the Pokemon in a real-life situation.

A 28 year old driver accidentally ran his vehicle off the road into a tree on the sidewalk. This happened while he was playing Pokemon Go. He was simply so preoccupied with the game that he almost lost track of where he was going in his vehicle.

The police arrived at the spot and the driver acknowledged that he was responsible for the entire mishap. While the driver was not seriously injured, he did suffer minor wounds on his legs.

Also he seemed confused and dizzy after the accident. He was whisked away to the nearby hospital so that he may get the proper medical attention and that his wounds may heal.

One of the police officers spoke of how the car’s engine was almost entering the driving compartment. This dude was very fortunate in that he didn’t suffer so many injuries.

"The engine was actually starting to come into the passenger compartment," Auburn Police Chief Shawn Butler told Auburnpub.com. "Extremely lucky."

The police are busy investigating the whole matter. Later on, when the driver is back in fighting form, he will be issued a ticket for potentially endangering self and society for the sake of a game. The police department has warned that people ought to use their rationality when they play such games as Pokemon Go.

Players are advised not to do anything else when they are busy with the game. Especially, driving a vehicle or riding a bike are strictly off-limits. Among some of the precautionary principles that have been formulated by the police department are the following:

• Do not go into uncharted territory to catch a Pokemon.

• Be more cognizant of the environment around you.

• Be very careful while sharing locations since many unrelated people can see where you are.

• When you tour a place, travel in a posse and remain in places where there are lots of streetlights.
