SpaceX Falcon Stage 1 Lands on Ground Again

The SpaceX space transport business runs impressively smoothly. Tonight a Falcon 1 stage landed again on ground.

Another ground landing of a SpaceX Falcon 9 stage 1 is successful. SpaceX launched a transport mission to the ISS at around midnight. The stage 1 of the Falcon 9 rocket came back from its mission and landed on ground again.

Elon Musk tweeted an image of the stage 1 standing at the Florida space port in Cape Canaveral. The Dragon spacecraft is on its way to the ISS in the SpaceX CRS-9 mission.

This is the ninth mission by SpaceX under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract. Among the almost 5,000 pounds of supplies, equipment and science research Dragon will carry is the first of two international docking adapters, which will allow Boeing's CST-100 Starliner and SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft to dock to the station when transporting astronauts in the near future as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program.

SpaceX is hosting a post-mission on NASA TV at 2am ET.
