PlayStation Neo specs confirmed through leaked documents

Gamers have been pretty excited lately thanks to Microsoft for revealing the new console hardware for Xbox One S at E3 this year as well as offering a limited version Gear of Wars bundle available for pre order to keep the excitement alive. But it might be Sony’s turn now to come into the spot light.

Interestingly enough a set of documents from Sony which seemed authentic were leaked and then simultaneously retracted which highlighted the technical specs of the PlayStation Neo in addition to how Sony planned on marketing the console.

This epidemic of leaked information has been a thorn in the side of many bigwigs like Sony and other companies. Sony suffered a 42 page leak which is inherently worse than a component leak because the company has zero intentions of sharing that information with the public.

In terms of new gossip the document had nothing new to offer but validated previous rumors that suggested that the hardware will have 8 GB RAM and come with “Base” and “NEO” modes for game compatibility.

The console is targeted at all those individuals who desire for greater clarity and quality while they are playing and hence is appropriate for anybody who owns a 4K TV. The console is going to be supporting all the virtual reality efforts made by Sony.

The feature production model will launch sometime in spring 2017 but the document made no mention of the actual customer release. Therefore we will just have to be patient and wait for the information to become available.
