Volvo is working on a Self-Driving car in order to compete with BMW.

Many auto makers are working in the self-driving modules of cars. Volvo has started working on a Self-Driving prototype as well. The company is trying to launch the car in the year 2020. It is said that Volvo is trying to bring forth the car for competing with BMW, its rival company. BMW is also working on its Self-Driving cars and it is soon that the auto maker will launch its Autonomous car soon too.

According to AutomotiveNews, this car will be available for sale in the year 2021. The car will be able drive on its own on high ways too. BMW is also looking for a self-driving car in the same year to drive on highways. The project will make sure that people get to have safe driving while having all the comfort.

Volvo is trying to achieve a target that no one gets killed or gets injured in a car made by the company till 2020. Volvo will have to incorporate latest technology and well versed autonomous systems in the cars in order to achieve the target.

BMW has announced its collaborator to be Intel in autonomous cars which will be introduced by year 2021. Volvo on the other hand is still looking for multiple IT companies in order to collaborate for the project. We know that Mercedes-Benz is collaborating with IBM and other companies. Let’s see what Volvo brings about in this situation.

Volvo is known for cars which are known for their safety. Thus the autonomous technology by the automaker will focus on safety too. They will have to make sure that a fatal crash which happened with Tesla model S don’t happen again.
