Huawei should be extremely happy today as they have been able to report an increase in sales revenue in this first half of 2016 compared to the first half last year. Apparently the company experienced a 40% increase and was able to earn a total of $36.8 billion in revenue according to Reuters.

On the other hand despite this increase in revenue profits fell by 12%. No definite numbers on the quantity of smartphones, tablets and smartwatches that Huawei has sold in this first half of 2016 has been disclosed but we do know that 48.2 million devices were sold in the same time period worldwide last year.

This is the second year that Huawei has been able to report an increase in revenue. This continues growth has resulted in high morale at the company. Sabrina Meng who is the Chief financial Officer at Huawei said that “We are confident that Huawei will maintain its current momentum, and round out the full year in a positive financial position backed by sound ongoing operations”.

It seems that Huawei will be able to achieve its target of $75 billion in revenues if it is able to maintain the same positive attitude it has had thus far.
