We have gotten the best Mercedes-Benz GLE Spy shots for you.

The 2019 next generation Mercedes-Benz GLE is in the making these days. We are looking for a brilliant car to be unveiled. MotorAuthority managed to get the latest spy shots of the first prototype of Mercedes-Benz GLE mid-size SUV.nThe current GLE was introduced for 2016 model.

However the beginnings of this car started in the year 2012 M-Class. The Mercedes-Benz engineers have already started working on the new prototype of its latest model. The latest model will be introduced somewhere around the year 2018 while it will go on sale in the year 2019.

The car we spotted earlier is GLE for sure due to its size and propositions. Along with that a big “W167”: was written at the rear of this crossover. The latest GLE is referred as W166 by the company. This is the reason we are sure that it is the new model of our car.

The vehicle was heavily camouflaged. We could see that some of its parts were also borrowed from the current model of GLC which are smaller in size. Nonetheless we were able to identify many things about this model too.

This prototype had a more rugged and beastly look than the current model which is a plus for sure. It has wide wheel arches that are leading towards a narrow cabin.

This new GLE will be the second model to opt the Mercedes MHA platform. This platform is included in latest GLC and it now used in automaker’s coupes and sedans.

We can expect a 6-cylinders engine for this vehicle with V-8 technology. Along with petrol engine, it will be available in diesel and plug in hybrid technology as well. We should also hope for a 9-speed automatic drive for this crossover.
