Jai Courtney reveals that he ate mushrooms and burned himself with cigarettes while talking to Suicide Squad director.

We had thought that Jared Leto had the crazy stuff covered in the Suicide Squad cast. With his method acting and all, he is rumored to have made people cry and sent his cast mates weird gifts that included bullets and condoms. That’s not all.

The originator of the original crazy is in fact the director of the movie David Ayer who encouraged all his cast to harness their wild instincts. The cast members all around were involved in something crazy.

Jai Courtney, playing Boomerang in the movie has definitely called the spotlight to himself in the numerous trailers that we have seen. We see the Boomerang as a wild, crazy eyed villain and Courtney has a story to tell behind the character.

According to a recent revelation in Empire magazine, Courtney ate some mushrooms that induced such a state that he burned out some cigarette butts on his own arm, all the while talking to Ayer on Skype.

That did not end there for him. Jai added that he turned up to discuss his look, expecting they’d have a long discussion and slowly he’d refine it.

Instead David just walked right in, picked up some clippers, and started shearing chunks of hair off his head. Eventually Ayer said that Jai look like bad news and then he left. So if you’re ever wondering about Boomerang’s crazy hair, Ayer gave it to him.

That is not all that Ayer did. According to reports, he made Joel Kinnaman, who plays Rick Flag, watch classified military videos full of "horrific shit," Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc had to listen to tapes of Japanese cannibal Issei Sagawa. The director also shared earlier this year that he made cast mates "fight each other" on set and tell their darkest secrets.
