Apple turns car project into self-driving software. Apple has hired former worker of BlackBerry in order to work on project titan.

Self-Driving Software is really in demand. This is the reason that automakers are collaborating with many IT companies to work on autonomous technology and self-driving systems of cars. These days Apple is working on the self-driving project.

In order to bring the best in the project, the company has hired the former head of Blackberry’s automotive software division. The company is trying to meet the standards of automakers while providing them different yet perfect software for the cars. This is the reason they have decided to go with the top workers such as one from BlackBerry.

Dan Dodge is the founder and former CEO of QNX, who moved on to work Blackberry, has recently joined Apple this year. He will be a part of team that will focus on car initiative, according to Bloomberg. The team will be headed by Bob Mansfield who is the head of this team. They will be working on the project named “Titan”.

Apple has been working on car designs from the past few years. Now they have over one thousand workers including many engineers who are working on a car model which is expected to be released by year 2020. The goal was not met earlier due to many technical delays, departures of many workers, and other confusions related this project.

The thinning demand of iPhone which is the main focus of the study has led the company to new resources in order to generate revenue. This is the reason Apple is looking forward to new horizons to get the best profit through market.

Thus getting a self-driving project on roll is something that can definitely benefit the tech giant.
