Apple, Parkopedia Deal Will Give You Information About Parking Data On Apple Maps App

You will now have access to better parking information while using Apple Maps app thanks to a deal between Apple and Parkopedia. The information was previously just available to those residing in the US but now iOS users will have access to information about 40 million parking spot across 75 countries including North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, courtesy of the deal.

You will be able to book your parking slot soon but for the time being Apple Maps redirect you to another app to carry out the task. Christina Onesirosan Martinez who is Head of Marketing for Parkopedia made the following statement in regards to the deal “We’re excited to deliver detailed information on more than 40 million parking spaces in 75 countries to Apple Maps customers.

This is a very important milestone for Parkopedia. Our combined footprint in the consumer and automotive space is huge and this opens the doors to delivering a world of innovative solutions.” Apple Maps did not have a stable start thanks to Google Maps which had set high standards but has been doing well thanks to the steady stream of updates it has received since its launch in 2012.

This new addition to the Maps app is something that has been in works for Google as well for its own Google Maps app. Apple in bent upon establishing its Mapping App as a solid go to in the business of mapping apps. Evidence of this can be seen through the changes seen in Apple Maps since its inception.
