Tesla CEO Elon Musk has hinted at a Ford Transit rival along with Model X-based minibus and also showed intentions to build a new SUV model.

Tesla is working pretty hard these days to come up with more advanced EV models. For this reason they have been working on up-gradation of their various models along with a few new models.

Recently the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk revealed that they are going to produce a new SUV soon. Along with that Tesla is planning to launch an X-based minibus and Ford Transit.

The Tesla model Y which is being confirmed by the company will be joining the long range of EV vehicles of the company. The founder and CEO of Tesla Musk declared the arrival of all these new models on Twitter in his recent tweet. He also explained these cars will be based on the chassis that is used in Tesla Model 3 and Model X.

He also added that Model Y will be a Compact SUV, which will be inspired from Model 3 saloon. Other models which include electric cargo van, a mini bus and a pickup will use the chassis of Model X.

He had earlier confirmed in the tweet that his new Tesla Minibus will be built on the Model X chassis, according to AutoCar. This car will be based on the specs and looks of Volkswagen Type II. Musk revealed all these details in the answer to a British user’s tweet when he asked for the arrival of a Ford Transit Rival. Musk replied by saying that this kind of concept was possible as well.

Tesla is looking for the developments to convert all models into autonomous models. According to Tesla they are planning to improve the quality of driving by introducing more and more auto-driving cars which are based on electronic module. The plan is to regulate the self-driving cars so they can be summoned from anywhere to the place where you want them to be.
