The past days of Trump "zingers" has GOP officials frustrated seeking a way to dump Trump.

Can the Republican party dump Trump after nominating him as the party's candidate? Not directly, but GOP reportedly try to find a way, getting more and more frustrated with Donald Trump's erratic behavior.

ABC News reports that senior party officials are exploring how to replace him on the ballot if he drops out. The first problem is that Donald Trump needs to voluntarily step down. The GOP (Grand Old Party) has no mechanism to force Trump to resign from the nomination. It is highly unlikely that Trump considers to quit.

Anything is though possible in the weirdest Presidential race in history. In case Trump steps down, the 168 members of the RNC are then able to choose a replacement. The process is supposed to be complicated. To get it done, Trump would need to resign by early September.
