Tthe next generation Apple Watch CPU is only made by TSMC says report out of Taiwan.

The Apple Watch 2 is expected to be unveiled in fall. The current rumors say that the new Apple Watch will have GPS, Barometer and improved battery life. A new report from the Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA) says that TSMC grabbed all Apple Watch 2 CPU orders. The Apple S2 will not be made by Samsung, which produced the first generation Apple Watch CPU.

The Apple S2 will be based on TSMC's 16nm technology says Digitimes. Samsung will supply the AMOLED screens for the Apple Watch 2.

I am using my Apple Watch on a daily basis. It adds the convenience of having all notifications on the wrist. I have never missed another call or an appointment since I wear the Apple Watch. I also use it for running. The GPS and Altimeter are tempting new additions in the Apple Watch upgrade. I might have to trade up.

The unveilin of the new Apple Watch could be during the iPhone 7 event on September 6.
