New hands-on photos of an iPhone 7 Plus or possibly iPhone 7 Pro leaks.

The iPhone 7 has leaked in full in countless photos of components and even working iPhone 7 devices. The only big secret for Apple to reveal on September 7 at the iPhone 7 event is if there are two or three iPhone 7 models.

A leaker on Weibo shows off what he calls an iPhone 7 Plus in a series of photos. The device features a dual camera and the smart connector known from the iPad Pro. There have been reports that the iPhone 7 Plus will only differ from the iPhone 7 in screen size. A third model, iPhone 7 Pro, would feature a dual camera and the smart connector.

The hands-on leaked photos show a very polished iPhone that looks like fresh out of the factory. The leaker says this is the pure black version The metal body definitely looks darker than my space grey iPhone 6S. The dark metal looks great on these photos.

Apple is expected to present the iPhone 7 on September 7. Pre-order begins on September 9 and the new iPhone will go on sale on September 16. There is still a chance that it will not be called iPhone 7, but iPhone 6SE as the new Apple phone sticks to the design language of the iPhone 6. 2017 will be the year Apple introduces a complete new iPhone design with OLED display.

The iPhone 7 will feature the A10 CPU, no audio jack, touch sensitive home button, improved water resistance, better cameras and cleaner design on the rear shell. Despite sticking with the current design, the iPhone 7 brings enough improvements to consider an upgrade.

Unclear is still what the smart connector will be used on the iPhone 7. A keyboard accessory sounds a bit niche to me. There must be a bigger idea behind the smart connector on the iPhone 7.
