iPhone 7 Will Have Touch based home button

Don't Miss: This How to find Fingerlings in Stock

We can add an iPhone without its signature circular physical home button to our list of all the things we didn’t think were possible but turned out to be otherwise.

This isn’t the first time that rumors about such a move by Apple have circulated and recent murmurs from industry insiders makes this seem a realistic possibility.

So instead of the physical home button we have now we will have a touch sensitive button which will serve as Apple’s fingerprint scanner not to mention additional tap and press detection functionality.

All this is dependent on Apple’s wish to maintain the feedback sensation that pressing a button gives. One way Apple might be able to kill two birds with one stone could be to introduce hepatic feedback within the new touch sensitive button.

This move serves well with Apple’s over all aim to have a flat iPhone without and curves or bumps. The recent removal of the 3.5 mm jack is a step in this direction.

Another reason why this move might be on Apple’s agenda is waterproofing that it wants to guarantee for its iPhones.

But most of all this change by Apple will increase the durability of the iPhone itself as physical buttons are subject to damage over the years.
