Apple watch stocks depleting ahead of upcoming refresh

The new Apple watch is expected to release this fall and in the wake of this upcoming release existing stocks of the already available Apple watch seem to be diminishing.

The smart watch by Apple was first introduced in the April of 2015 and since then has seen slight upgrades in terms of offering new bands or color options to buyers.

If you visit the Apple website most of the Apple watches are sold out even the nylon band option which was released earlier this year. You can still buy the stainless steel option in 38mm but the 48 mm version of the same option have a 4-6 weeks wait time.

The Milanese and Link Bracelet options however are completely sold out. The Hermès variants are somewhat available. The large bands are sold out while the some options for the smaller bands are still available but the majority have been sold.

It is unlikely that Apple will go to extreme lengths to restock on the old Apple Watch so near the release of the new watch titles Apple Watch 2. The new smart watch by Apple will offer better waterproofing, faster internals, GPS services and might even come with cellular connectivity.

The watch will release alongside iPhone 7 at a media event scheduled for September. It might just be smarter to wait for the new watch to release at this point rather than buying the older version.
