Select Target stores will have a Pokemon Go promotion.

Target's sale of Apple products declined steeply. Now the focus on the most popular product this summer - Pokemon Go. Not really, but Target's electronics sale fell in Q2 at a double digit percentage rate. Target blames Apple for about a third in the sales decline.

We already reported that Pokemon will be huge this Holiday shopping season and Target already is getting on the trend early with special Pokemon promotions. Select stores are prepping a prominent Pokemon merchandise display at the entry of the store. Some Target location will have giant PokeBalls in front of their stores.

The retailer has the red concrete spheres sitting outside of Target stores painted to look like PokeBalls. See a photo of a work in progress PokeBall below. Target confirmed in a statement to ComicBook that a special Pokemon promotion will take place at Target stores that have PokeBalls outside. We assume that the Pokemon Go events kick off this weekend.

Target did not reveal any more details. It could be that they transform Target stores into PokeStops and seeding some lures to attract Pokemon Go trainers.
